Samet Yigitoglu is a newcomer at MZT Skopje

Samet Yigitoglu

Defending champion KK MZT Skopje Aerodrom (Prva Liga) added to their roster 18-year old Turk 206cm center Samet Yigitoglu for season 2022-23. Yigitoglu played most recently at Next Generation Select Team in Serbian ANGT. In four Adidas Next Generation Tournament games he recorded 5.3ppg and 5.3rpg last season. He also played for MZT Skopje Uni Banka in North Macedonian Prva Liga where in 16 games he averaged 10.3ppg and 8.5rpg (#2 in the league). The other team he played shortly was Next Generation Team Beograd U18 team in Serbia league. In four Adidas Next Generation Tournament games he had 9.0ppg, 11.8rpg (#2 in the league) and 1.5bpg.
Yigitoglu represented Turkey at the FIBA U18 European Championship in Izmir (Turkey) this year. His team won Silver and his stats at that event were 7 games: 8.9ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.1bpg, FGP: 51.9%, FT: 33.3%.
He has played also professionally for other Turkish teams like Besiktas and Besiktas. Yigitoglu played in the final of Adidas Next Generation Tournament Finals in Belgrade in 2022.
